Delta Captain John Rosenberg was honored with ALPA’s Pilot Assistance Award at the Pilot Assistance Forum this week. Capt. Rosenberg was recognized for his dedication to growing ALPA’s Professional Standards program, a peer-based network of trained representatives who address pilot issues of an interpersonal or professional nature.
“Widely respected among his peers, Capt. Rosenberg’s tireless devotion to his fellow pilots for over two decades has made all ALPA members stronger,” said Capt. Tim Canoll, ALPA president. “Pilots, family members and others have benefited from his understanding, compassion and unique insight into how to approach and support people in stress. These benefits have also extended outside the ALPA family to all pilot associations, domestic and international.”
Capt. Rosenberg has supported his peers throughout his 39-year pilot career. As chair of ALPA Professional Standards, he led a team of volunteers in establishing effective Professional Standards networks and ensuring that the ALPA Code of Ethics would stand as a guiding light within their respective pilot group cultures.
“We are grateful for his tireless efforts throughout his career and commend Capt. Rosenberg for the vast contributions he’s made on behalf of his fellow pilots and the Association,” added Capt. Canoll.
