Holiday Ties Support Cancer Research

Show your holiday spirit and support childhood cancer research with this year’s holiday tie! The Delta Pilots Charitable Fund (DPCF) partners with the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research to give kids a chance to design a holiday tie for our pilots. The talented artist behind this year’s “snowman” design is 8-year-old Grace, who is battling eye cancer. Want your own “snowman” tie? They’re available now in your Chief Pilot Office. November MEC Recap

Every month we update you on the highlights of what’s happening in your union. San Diego MEC Meeting The Delta MEC held its fourth and final Regular Meeting for 2017 in San Diego November 6-10.  The MEC held elections for the Negotiating Committee and confirmed several committee chairs. The MEC passed resolutions, including LOA 17-02. There was significant discussion surrounding Delta’s joint ventures as well as a special focus on retirement benefit options. Special guests, including ALPA President Tim Cannoll, gave presentations. Click here for the full meeting summary. Aviation Park Opening a Success!

On a beautiful fall morning, six Delta pilots volunteered to represent ALPA and Delta Air Lines at the grand opening of an aviation-themed playground next to the Cobb County International Airport. Our pilots led games for the kids, posed for photos and talked to attendees about pilot careers. Several hundred community members attended the park’s grand opening celebration, including local politicians, aviation enthusiasts and families. Students from the Walker School chorus sang the national anthem to kick off the ceremony, and were the first to explore the playground.
